Website Privacy

How we use website statistics and how to change your privacy choice.

Website Statistics

We use grouped page-view counts to understand which pages are useful and improve the Holker Old Boys website. The statistics show public pageviews, popular pages, and activity by day and hour. They do not store individual visit records, IP addresses, email addresses, visitor identifiers, referral addresses or query strings. We briefly check normal request headers to ignore known robots; those headers are not stored in these statistics. The figures are approximate: repeat visits can count, and they do not tell us who visited or how long anyone stayed.

Keeping the Counts

Reports cover a rolling 90-day window. Older totals are cleared during subsequent collection; they may remain in storage while collection is inactive. Figures start when collection is enabled, with no earlier traffic history imported.

Your Choice

Turn Website statistics off or on in Privacy Settings and save your choice. This does not affect access to the website. An off choice is remembered for one year in a preference cookie containing the same off value for everyone, with no visitor identifier. The cookie covers hobafc.co.uk and its subdomains so the choice works on both the main and www addresses. Choosing on removes it. These statistics do not use advertising profiles or tracking cookies.

Website Hosting and Questions

The public website is hosted using ChatGPT Sites. Technical information needed to deliver the website is separate from these grouped statistics. For questions about the website or your privacy choices, use Contact Us.
