As a member of the Ground Staff Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our pitches are well-maintained and ready for matches. We currently have three positions available for this important role.
Job Description
Job Title: Ground Staff
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Hours of Work: 2-4hrs Per Week (fully flexible)
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct regular pitch maintenance and repair tasks, including diverting, cutting, and marking the pitch as needed.
- Assist with post-match pitch repair to ensure the playing surface remains in optimal condition.
- Collaborate with the Grounds Manager and other team members to prioritize tasks and efficiently maintain the pitches.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while using provided equipment and tools.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Basic knowledge and understanding of pitch maintenance techniques.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks related to pitch maintenance.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate marking and maintenance of the pitch.
- Flexibility and availability to dedicate a couple of hours per week for pitch repair, with scheduling being fully flexible.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in ground maintenance or similar roles.
- Familiarity with the specific equipment and tools used for pitch maintenance.
- Passion for football and a desire to contribute to the overall matchday experience.
